LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th Sep, 2026) Federal Minister Huzaifa Rahman has offered to provide Sohail Afridi with a safe exit. In response, Shafi Jan said they would flee the country on an 11-billion-rupee aircraft.
Speaking on Samaa news’ programme, Federal Minister Huzaifa Rahman said that Sindh and Punjab had rejected the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
He said Sohail Afridi had now told his close associates that he needed a safe exit, adding that they would call for it at any time and that the government was ready to hold talks and provide him a safe exit in the interest of Pakistan.
Responding, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan said, “Put a tracking device on the 11-billion-rupee plane; they will flee the country on this aircraft.” Shafi Jan said the streets would heat up on 27 September and Sohail Afridi would lead the protest, adding that they would hold a peaceful demonstration.
“Protest takes place when no one listens.
We tried to negotiate for two years, but the talks did not succeed.
The Islamabad High Court has also been asked about the more than 20 decisions issued regarding Imran Khan’s health and meetings with him, but none has been implemented,” he said.
He added, “You are asking us not to make citizens’ lives difficult, but 3,000 containers have already been placed in Islamabad today.
The court should decide how Islamabad can be shut down.”
Speaking on Dunya News’ programme, he said the streets would heat up on 27 September and Sohail Afridi would lead the protest, adding that they would hold a peaceful demonstration.
“Protest takes place when no one listens. We tried to negotiate for two years, but the talks did not succeed. The Islamabad High Court issued more than 20 decisions regarding Imran Khan’s health and meetings with him, but none was implemented,” he said.
He further said, “You are asking us not to make citizens’ lives difficult, but 3,000 containers have already been placed in Islamabad today.
The court should decide how Islamabad can be shut down. We know that they will attack, arrest and disqualify us, but the Islamabad High Court must answer why none of its decisions concerning Imran Khan was implemented. However, the streets will heat up on 27 September and Sohail Afridi will lead.”
