LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Sep, 2026) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has paid the cost of using an official aircraft for her London visit, but a dispute has emerged over the bank challan receipt, which bears a collection stamp dated September 18.
Geo news shared an image of a National Bank receipt obtained from its sources.
The receipt shows September 18 as the date of collection and September 17 as the date of payment.
According to the National Bank cash transfer slip, the amount was paid from an account at the Bank of Punjab.
The report said Maryam Nawaz paid Rs27,194,004 to the Punjab government.
The Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) had formally written to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif regarding payment of the dues.
According to the letter, the chief minister used a Punjab government aircraft for a personal foreign visit from September 5 to 9, 2026.
Bills for the aircraft’s expenses were received from Jet Stream International and Pakistan State Oil (PSO).
The Punjab government and the Punjab chief minister’s spokesperson have not yet issued any explanation regarding the receipt shared on Geo News.
