UAE citizens and residents can make a five-year investment with just AED 1,000, the Ministry of Finance said.
DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Sep, 2026) The UAE Ministry of Finance has announced the issuance of its second five-year government sukuk, allowing UAE citizens and residents to invest with as little as AED 1,000.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the profit rate for the new sukuk will be announced on 22 September. Investments can be made through the Dubai Financial Market platform and app, as well as the digital channels of participating banks.
Following allotment and settlement, the sukuk will be listed on the Dubai Stock Exchange, where it can also be traded in the secondary market. According to Gulf news, the issuance follows strong demand for the first retail sukuk offering.
A target of AED 50 million had been set for the first issue, but the size was increased to AED 100 million after investors submitted applications worth AED 445 million. Approximately 76% of demand in the first issue was for investments of AED 10,000 or less, while UAE citizens accounted for 72% of investors.
The new sukuk will be fully backed by the UAE government and aims to provide individuals with Shariah-compliant government investment opportunities through relatively small investments.
