The IMF mission will meet officials from the Ministry of Finance, Federal Board of Revenue and other institutions, according to a report.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th Sep, 2026) The International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission will visit Pakistan this month for negotiations on the economic review required for the next tranche.
According to sources, the IMF mission will arrive in Pakistan on 23rd September and stay for two weeks for the talks.
The sources said the IMF mission will hold negotiations with officials of the Ministry of Finance and the Federal board of Revenue (FBR).
Discussions between the IMF and Pakistani officials will also cover the circular debt of the power sector.
According to sources, negotiations will be held on all economic targets achieved up to June 2026.
