‘Fake CM’ Faces Threat From 3 Provinces, Not India: Sohail Afridi Slams Maryam Nawaz

“I declare that the people of Punjab are mine, Punjab is mine and I belong to the Punjabis; I face no threat,” the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister said.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th Sep, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi strongly criticized Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s recent statement and the administrative policies of the Punjab government.

Speaking to the media and workers upon his arrival in Lahore, he said those who had allegedly seized power by stealing the public mandate were now creating divisions among the country’s provinces and people.

He said the “fake chief minister of Punjab,” whom he claimed had been completely rejected by the public and had entered the corridors of power through fake votes and rigging, said she felt threatened by three provinces of Pakistan but faced no threat from India, the country’s eternal enemy.

“I say, damn such a mindset and thinking.”

Criticizing the Punjab administration’s security concerns, he said rulers who considered citizens of their own country’s three provinces a threat were seriously harming national integrity and provincial harmony.

“I clearly declare here that the courageous people of Punjab are my own; Punjab is my home, I belong to Punjab and I am one of the Punjabis. I face no threat whatsoever from Punjab’s soil or its citizens.”
