The Federal Constitutional Court will hear two key cases tomorrow, including a petition against Sohail Afridi before a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Aminuddin Khan.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13th Sep, 2026) Holidays have ended at the Federal Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court, with hearings in important cases scheduled to begin on Monday.
The Federal Constitutional Court will hear two important cases tomorrow.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court Aminuddin Khan will hear a case against Sohail Afridi. The petition was filed by Sher Afzal Marwat and also seeks the restoration of Ali Amin Gandapur as chief minister.
Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Ali Baqar Najafi will be part of the bench.
The second important case fixed before the Federal Constitutional Court concerns permission for other prisoners, like former Prime Minister Imran Khan, to receive treatment at private hospitals.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Aminuddin Khan will hear the case.
Three prisoners incarcerated in Adiala Jail have filed an appeal before the Federal Constitutional Court against an Islamabad High Court decision.
The appeal seeks the provision of medical facilities to other prisoners on the same basis as Imran Khan. The three prisoners have requested permission to receive treatment at private hospitals at their own expense.
The Supreme Court will hold a ceremony today to mark the start of the new judicial year.
The hearing in the case concerning Imran Khan’s transfer to Shifa Hospital will take place on 16 September. The federal government’s review petition against the August 18 order regarding his transfer to the hospital will also be heard on 16 September.
The contempt of court petition against non-compliance with the court order will also be heard on 16 September. The Supreme Court’s website has not yet published the regular cause list for the next judicial week.
