OTTAWA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13th Sep, 2026) Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has launched a media and entertainment production company with his longtime chief of staff, Katie Telford.
The new company, named Hope and Hard Work, was announced through a website launched the previous day.
According to a report, it will present stories through film, television, audio and live entertainment experiences aimed at promoting mutual understanding and connections among people.
The company’s name is inspired by a phrase Justin Trudeau repeatedly used in his speeches after becoming leader of Canada’s Liberal Party in 2013.
He also continued using the phrase during his tenure as prime minister from 2015 to 2025.
The company has been launched as the Toronto International Film Festival is underway. The festival began on Thursday and will continue until September 20.
The 54-year-old Justin Trudeau recently left the office of prime minister.
He announced his resignation as Liberal Party leader in January last year following growing pressure from party members, as the party’s popularity declined ahead of the general election.
Trudeau was succeeded as Canadian prime minister by Liberal Party leader Mark Carney.
Since leaving government, Justin Trudeau has largely stayed away from the public spotlight, although he has occasionally attended public events. His alleged relationship with American pop singer Katy Perry has also attracted attention in recent months.
