Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif’s father was an extremely simple man who polished his own shoes until his death, the analyst said.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12th Sep, 2026) Renowned columnist and analyst Javed Chaudhry has made some unusual and interesting revelations about the life of Mian Muhammad Sharif, the elder of the Sharif family and father of PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Speaking on one of his programmes, Javed Chaudhry said that despite owning a vast business empire and wielding considerable influence, Mian Muhammad Sharif led an extremely simple daily life.
He revealed that Mian Sharif, the grandfather of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, was so committed to simplicity that he never had anyone else clean his shoes; instead, he polished them himself until his death.
He added that Mian Sharif was so simple that he washed his own underwear throughout his life and never felt embarrassed about doing so.
