LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12th Sep, 2026) The verbal war over Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s visit to London, use of an aircraft and political statements has intensified, with PML-N central leader and Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb also joining the debate and strongly criticizing her opponents.
According to details, in a strongly worded reaction on social media, Maryam Aurangzeb made it clear that the real reason behind the current uproar was neither an aircraft nor a personal visit, but the opponents’ panic over Maryam Nawaz’s growing popularity among the public and her outstanding performance.
She said it had been clearly stated that Maryam Nawaz would pay all expenses of the London visit from her own pocket.
She added that those using the Punjab chief minister’s statement to create hatred among the provinces and division in the nation should themselves apologize to the public.
Unfortunately, she said, elements unfamiliar with the proud traditions of brave Pashtuns who respect mothers, sisters and daughters had been imposed on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Punjab senior minister said in strong terms that, on one hand, terrorists tear people apart with guns and suicide jackets, while on the other, their political facilitators use language as a weapon to insult human beings, particularly women.
