LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) Forty cases were registered against police personnel in Lahore during the first eight months of 2026, naming 76 officials ranging from constables to sub-inspectors.
According to police records, the cases involve 7 sub-inspectors, 22 assistant sub-inspectors, and 47 head constables and constables.
The cases were registered over financial corruption, poor investigations and abuse of authority.
Cases were also registered over allegations of harassing complainants and involvement in various crimes. Police records show that 9 cases were registered against police personnel in Model Town Division, 8 in Saddar Division, 7 in City Division and 6 in Cantonment Division, while 5 cases each were registered in Civil Lines and Iqbal Town divisions.
