The PTI leader has filed a petition seeking Ali Amin Gandapur’s restoration as chief minister, arguing that Sohail Afridi was nominated by convicted former prime minister Imran Khan.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) A petition filed by National Assembly member Sher Afzal Marwat seeking the removal of Sohail Afridi as chief minister and the restoration of Ali Amin Gandapur as chief minister has been fixed for hearing in the Federal Constitutional Court.
The case challenging Sohail Afridi’s election as chief minister has been scheduled for 14th September. Sher Afzal Marwat had filed the petition against Sohail Afridi, also seeking Ali Amin Gandapur’s restoration as chief minister. Marwat maintains that Sohail Afridi was nominated by convicted former prime minister Imran Khan.
