A low-pressure area over the northwestern Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal Odisha is expected to move westward, according to the Meteorological Department.
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) The Meteorological Department has forecast thunderstorms and rain in Karachi on September 14 and 15.
According to the department, a new weather system forming over the Bay of Bengal is developing into a depression, potentially bringing a fresh spell of rain to Karachi and various districts of Sindh next week.
The department said the low-pressure area is currently situated over the northwestern Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal Odisha and is expected to move westward.
It forecast strong winds, thunderstorms and rain in Karachi on September 14 and 15. Intense heat is expected to continue in the city for the next two days before the rains.
Meanwhile, the intensity of the heat persists in Lahore, where light winds are making the weather feel even hotter.
The weather is expected to remain hot and dry over the next 24 hours. The maximum temperature is expected to remain at 37 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 27 degrees Celsius.
