ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for his role in leading the Muslims of the subcontinent towards an independent homeland.
In his message, Naqvi said that Quaid-e-Azam gave a nation a vision, awareness, and a sovereign state. He stated that the struggle of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for freedom remains an important chapter in the national history of Pakistan.
He said that Jinnah led the Muslims of the subcontinent from a state of subjugation towards the goal of an independent homeland. Naqvi said Pakistan emerged on the world map as a free state as a result of the leadership provided by the Quaid.
The interior minister said that the personality of Quaid-e-Azam reflected a combination of strong character, truthfulness in speech, and consistency in action. He noted that such qualities are rarely seen in history.
Naqvi further said that despite illness and physical weakness, Quaid-e-Azam remained determined and steadfast in guiding the nation towards its destination.
He added that his commitment and perseverance played a key role in achieving the objective of an independent state.
The minister also highlighted Quaid-e-Azam’s stance on the rights of minorities. He said that Jinnah was a strong supporter of minority rights and considered the state a trust of the people. He said this approach remains an important part of the principles on which Pakistan was founded.
Referring to the guiding principles associated with the founder of the nation, Naqvi said that faith, unity, and discipline are the true legacy of Quaid-e-Azam and continue to represent the spirit of Pakistan. He emphasized that these principles remain relevant for the country and its future.
Naqvi said that Pakistan’s progress and prosperity lie in following the principles laid down by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He stressed that adherence to these principles can help the country move forward and achieve its goals.
