Iqrar Ul Hassan Denies Contact With Military At Any Level, Offers To Swear On Quran

“On the Day of Judgment, may the intercession of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) not be granted to me if, during my journalism or journey of the Awam Raj Movement, I had maintained contact with any military officer, from a soldier to a general.” — Awam Raj Party chief

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) Awam Raj Party chief and journalist Iqrar-ul-Hassan strongly denied having any contact with military officers during his journalism career or political movement, and offered to take an oath in the strongest terms.

During a programme, hosts Ahmed Ali Khan and Ali Zai asked Iqrar-ul-Hassan whether he met the sector commander and challenged him to swear to it.

Iqrar-ul-Hassan replied that if he had maintained contact with any military officer, from a soldier to a general, during his 21-year journalistic career or his journey with the Awam Raj movement, he would be deprived of the intercession of Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

He said he did not know what kind of oath he could take to make people believe him.

Iqrar-ul-Hassan said that, if necessary, he was even prepared to go to Madinah and take an oath with the Holy Quran placed on the Rawdah of the Prophet ﷺ.

He said that if he ever made a statement at someone’s behest or to please anyone, may the wrath of Allah and His Messenger befall him.

Iqrar-ul-Hassan said people could believe him or not, but he had spoken what was in his heart.
