HYDERABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Sep, 2026) Athletics, tug-of-war, badminton and Tchoukball competitions were organized at Abdul Salam Thaheem Sports Complex, Shahdadpur, under District Sanghar Sports Events 2026 on the special directives of provincial minister for sports Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar and secretary sports and youth affairs Munawar Ali Mahesar.
According to a handout, students and players from various schools, colleges and sports academies actively participated in the competitions.
A special badminton championship was also organized for female students, with Principal government girls degree college Shahdadpur Jamila Rani Khaskheli as the chief guest.
At the conclusion of the events, awards and prizes were distributed among the successful players and winning teams. District Sports Officer Sanghar Shahbaz Abbasi presented Ajrak, Lungis and shields to the guests.
The speakers said that such sports competitions played an important role in engaging the young generation in healthy and positive activities. They said further efforts would be made to encourage players and promote sports activities in the district.
