In a post on X, former Sindh governor Imran Ismail said all those friends from whom PTI was taken away also appear to be caught in the same confusion—PTI supporters believe they have joined the establishment, while the establishment believes they are actually PTI sympathisers.
KARACHI / ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Sep, 2026) Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former Sindh governor Imran Ismail expressed the political confusion faced by leaders who have left the party, saying that he and his colleagues are worried about whose traitors they actually are.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Imran Ismail highlighted the political situation of himself and other friends who had left the party.
He wrote, “I am very confused, brother. I don’t understand whose traitor I am!” He said the same was true of all those friends who had been made to leave PTI, adding that they also appeared to be facing the same confusion.
He further said that PTI workers and supporters consider them traitors because they believe they have joined the establishment.
On the other hand, he said, people in the establishment believe that they are actually PTI sympathisers who repeatedly visit Kot Lakhpat Jail and file petitions in the Supreme Court seeking meetings with Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
The former governor took a sharp dig at the country’s current political situation, saying that the establishment and PTI may disagree on everything, but both sides completely agree on one point: whatever happens next, no notable leadership should remain in PTI.
“I am deeply confused. Someone please tell me whether I should sit on this political motorcycle this way or that way!” he said.
