Sajjad Ali Soomro Warns Police Over PTI Worker Abuse

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Sep, 2026) PTI Sindh Assembly member Sajjad Ali Soomro warned senior police officials that if those responsible for ظلم against PTI workers are not held accountable, he would not be Sajjad Ali Soomro.

According to the PTI Media Cell Karachi Division, speaking in the Sindh Assembly, he said, “IGs, DIGs, SSPs and SHOs, listen: if those responsible for ظلم against PTI workers are not held accountable, I am not Sajjad Ali Soomro!” Sajjad Ali Soomro said the alleged violence and mistreatment of PTI workers during Sohail Afridi’s arrival in Karachi was unacceptable.

MPA Sajjad Ali demanded the immediate suspension of SHOs Shaukat Awan and Waqar Azim over the alleged assault of Rao Azam and Aqeel Awan, and an incident in which a worker’s leg was allegedly broken.

He called on the interior minister to take immediate notice and initiate strict legal action against the responsible officials. Sajjad Ali Soomro said those responsible for ظلم against PTI workers would be held accountable at all costs and that no one would be considered above the law.
