KARACHI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th Sep, 2026) A fire broke out at a factory in the Landhi Export Processing Zone on Monday, with police, fire brigade and rescue teams engaged in efforts to extinguish the blaze.
According to police, fire tenders were present at the scene and firefighting operations were under way. Further investigation into the incident was also in progress.
Pakistan Rangers Sindh personnel also reached the site and joined the rescue operation, a Rangers spokesperson said.
He said Rangers personnel were assisting the fire brigade and rescue teams in relief and rescue activities.
A heavy contingent of Rangers had been deployed around the affected building to maintain traffic flow and ensure the safety of citizens.
The spokesperson said the protection of human lives and preventing the fire from spreading further were the top priorities.
