ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6th Sep, 2026) Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam on Sunday paid tribute to the armed forces, martyrs and veterans on Defence and Martyrs Day.
In his message, the federal minister said the great sacrifices of the martyrs were an unforgettable chapter in the national history.
He said the armed forces had displayed extraordinary bravery during the 1965 war, while the entire nation had stood firmly by them in defending the country.
Engineer Amir Muqam said the martyrs and their families were a source of pride for the entire nation and their sacrifices would always be remembered.
He also commended the courage of the armed forces in the fight for justice and the defence of the country.
The federal minister praised the leadership skills of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, saying the armed forces were performing their responsibilities with full determination to safeguard the country’s defence, sovereignty and security.
