LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 1st Sep, 2026) Lahore Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Faisal Kamran on Tuesday paid a surprise visit to Township police station and inspected various sections of the facility, including the front desk and lock-up.
He reviewed the functioning of the Q-Matic machine and other electronic equipment installed at the police station.
During the visit, the DIG met citizens who had come to the police station and inquired about their problems. He issued directions to the concerned officers for appropriate action on their applications.
Faisal directed the officers to resolve the problems of citizens visiting the police station on a priority basis and ensure timely relief in accordance with the law. He also directed officials to ensure basic facilities for suspects detained in the lock-up.
The DIG further ordered that CCTV cameras, tablets and other equipment at police stations be kept in working condition at all times.
He also recorded his observations in the visitors’ book of the police station.
