MULTAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 30th Aug, 2026) A large-scale fire safety drill was conducted at Nishtar Hospital in collaboration with Rescue 1122 to ensure the safety of patients, doctors, paramedics and other hospital staff in case of an emergency here.
Doctors, paramedical staff and other employees actively participated in the exercise.
Rescue 1122 personnel imparted detailed training on emergency response procedures, including disconnecting electricity supply, activating fire alarms, evacuating the hospital through safe routes and rescuing patients in case of fire.
The participants were also given practical demonstrations on the use of fire extinguishers and briefed on various methods of operating the equipment.
The hospital administration said such drills were aimed at ensuring a prompt and effective response to emergencies and preventing any untoward incident.
