HYDERABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 29th Aug, 2026) Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, has rebutted allegations levelled in a news published in a section of the press pertaining to its subsidiary medical college in Thatta district.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, the spokesman of LUMHS said Liaquat Institute of Medical and Health Sciences, Thatta, was delivering quality medical education to more than 1,000 national and international students.
According to him, the faculty appointed in that institute was not only providing teaching services, they were also providing healthcare services to that district’s citizens.
He contended that some elements instead of appreciating such services of LUMHS appeared hell-bent to sully its reputation.
The spokesman recalled that the same elements had previously maligned the varsity’s management for alleged unlawful appointments and promotions in Bilawal Medical College, Jamshoro, LUMHS Diagnostic and Research Laboratories as well as in the Thatta campus.
He claimed that such elements never came up with evidence to prove their blames instead they only indulged in spreading propaganda.
