LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Aug, 2026) As many as 13 people were killed and 1,780 others injured in 1,504 road traffic crashes reported across all 38 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours, according to the Emergency Services Department (Rescue 1122).
Of the injured, 780 people sustained serious injuries and were shifted to different hospitals, while 1,000 victims with minor injuries were provided treatment at the crash sites by rescue medical teams.
According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson, the analysis showed that 968 drivers, 90 underage drivers, 183 pedestrians and 642 passengers were among the victims of the crashes.
Lahore remained at the top with 276 road traffic crashes affecting 363 people, followed by Multan where 106 crashes affected 115 people. Faisalabad ranked third with 87 crashes involving 91 victims.
Overall, 1,793 people were affected in the reported road traffic crashes, including 1,450 males and 343 females.
The vehicles involved in the crashes included 1,694 motorcycles, 84 auto-rickshaws, 130 motorcars, 27 vans, six passenger buses, 25 trucks and 64 other vehicles and slow-moving carts.
