ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 23rd Aug, 2026) The Ministry of Religious Affairs has received Rs58 billion in the first five days of the submission of the first installment for Hajj 2027, as 92,000 intending pilgrims have submitted their fees.
According to the ministry, 40% of the payments were made through online channels, demonstrating the success of the Hajj Digital System.
As many as 15,000 seats remain available under the government Hajj scheme.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has urged pilgrims to complete their Hajj applications, provide the required data and documents, select their Hajj package, and pay their dues from home through the National IT board’s Hajj portal and the Pak Hajj app.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, large-scale digital collection of Hajj dues has been introduced for the first time, with the aim of providing pilgrims with convenient, secure, and transparent services.
Meanwhile, online collection of dues for the Private Hajj Scheme 2027 also began on Sunday.
Pilgrims opting for the private scheme will also pay their Hajj dues through the digital system, similar to those under the government scheme.
