Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th Aug, 2026) PMLQ Punjab leader Khawaja Rameez Hassan expressed deep concern over the visit of US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor to Indian-occupied Jammu & Kashmir and his remarks during the trip.
He said that we reject any claim of Jammu & Kashmir being part of India, affirming it as a disputed territory under international law whose final status must be decided per UN resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
He said in this regard that
Islamabad noted the US stance contradicts its own position and international law, while recalling former President Trump’s offer of mediation, and urged Washington to respect the disputed status of J&K.
