RPO Holds Open Court In Hassan Abdal, Orders Swift Redressal Of Public Complaints

RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Aug, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Region Babar Sarfraz Alpa held an open court at the TMA Hall in Hassan Abdal under the Punjab government’s open-door policy, hearing complaints and applications from citizens and issuing on-the-spot directives for their resolution.

District Police Officer Attock Captain (retd) Ali Bin Tariq was also present on the occasion.

A large number of citizens from Attock district attended the open court and presented their complaints, problems and applications concerning various issues.

RPO Alpa listened to the citizens patiently and directed the relevant officers to resolve their complaints promptly and strictly on merit.

He also sought progress reports on several applications within specified timeframes.

The RPO instructed police officers to address public complaints on a priority basis in accordance with the law and merit and ensure that no application was unnecessarily kept pending.

Speaking on the occasion, RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa said providing citizens with uninterrupted, impartial and merit-based justice was among the Punjab Police’s foremost priorities.

He said the purpose of open courts was to strengthen direct communication between the public and police, hear citizens’ grievances and ensure their swift and effective resolution.

He directed police officers to deal with citizens courteously and responsibly and ensure lawful action on every application. He stressed that protecting the lives and property of citizens and providing them with a safe and peaceful environment was a prime responsibility of the police, and negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.

Later, RPO Alpa visited City Police Station Hassan Abdal, where he inspected various sections of the police station, including the front desk, lock-up and record room.

The RPO reviewed administrative and investigation matters, facilities being provided to citizens and police records, and issued necessary instructions to the relevant officers.

He said the real measure of police performance was the justice, protection and facilitation provided to citizens, urging all officers to discharge their duties with dedication, integrity and professionalism.
