BAHAWALPUR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th Aug, 2026) Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan arrived in Bahawalpur on Sunday to offer condolences to the family of the late Member of the National Assembly (MNA) and former Provincial Minister, Malik Iqbal Channar.
During his visit to the late leader’s residence, the Governor met with his sons, Malik Muneer Iqbal Channar and Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar, and expressed his deep sorrow over the demise of Malik Iqbal Channar.
Extending his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan stated that Malik Iqbal Channar’s political and social services would always be remembered with great respect.
He paid glowing tribute to the late leader’s contributions, describing his passing as a significant loss for both the people of the region and the political circles.
The Governor also offered Fateha for the departed soul and prayed for his forgiveness, eternal peace, and the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.
