PPP Workers Renew Commitment To Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan, Constitution And Democracy


RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12th Aug, 2026) President Pakistan Peoples Party Workers, Dr. Safdar Ali Abbasi and Naheed Khan, Political Secretary to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, said that Independence Day is an occasion to renew the commitment to Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan, the 1973 Constitution, democracy, constitutional supremacy, and the protection of the fundamental rights of the people.

On the occasion of Independence Day, Naheed Khan and Dr. Safdar Ali Abbasi, along with their fellow office-bearers Fayyaz Khan, Sardar Har Bukhari, Rai Qaiser, Malik Mazhar, Amjad Baloch, Naveed Sadiq, Ghulam Ali, Farah Ibrahim Khan, Sajida Mir, Mehboob Sultana and others, said in their statement that Independence Day is a day to remember the great sacrifices made during the Pakistan Movement and to renew the resolve for the country’s development and sovereignty.

They said that Quaid-e-Azam envisioned Pakistan based on equal citizenship, justice, religious freedom, and fundamental rights.

They added that the 1973 Constitution is the fundamental guarantee of national consensus, a democratic system, and the rights of the people.

The struggle of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for democracy, national sovereignty, and the rights of the people remains an unforgettable chapter in Pakistan’s history.PPP Workers emphasized the supremacy of the Constitution, strengthening of Parliament, respect for the people’s mandate, provincial autonomy, and protection of civil liberties, and reaffirmed that they would continue their struggle for a democratic, peaceful, sovereign, prosperous, and just Pakistan.
