RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Aug, 2026) Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Salman Ghani has directed revenue officers to dispose of all pending cases within 60 days of their registration on the Revenue Court Management System (RCMS), stressing that unnecessary adjournments and delays would not be tolerated.
Presiding over a review meeting on revenue cases at the Commissioner’s Office here on Monday, he directed officers to regularly monitor pending cases and ensure their timely registration, updating and disposal through the online system. He said timely provision of justice in revenue matters was a Primary responsibility of the district administration and revenue officers.
The meeting reviewed pending revenue cases, progress on their disposal, the online RCMS portal, Green Property Certificates and identification of high-value properties.
The Commissioner directed that property-related cases be disposed of on a priority basis under the Punjab Protection of Ownership of Immovable Properties Act, ensuring protection of citizens’ legitimate property rights and taking action in accordance with law against illegal possession, forgery and property disputes.
The meeting also reviewed the functioning of Secrecy Committees. The commissioner directed that their meetings be held regularly in all districts and relevant cases disposed of expeditiously according to the prescribed procedure.
The meeting was informed that 71 cases had been referred by the tribunal, including 28 from Rawalpindi, four from Attock, 13 from Jhelum and 26 from Chakwal. It was further informed that 13 new cases from Attock, 32 from Chakwal, 13 from Jhelum and 18 from Murree had been referred by the tribunal.
The commissioner directed the concerned officers to take immediate action on all tribunal-referred cases in accordance with the law and prescribed procedure.
Regarding Green Property Certificates, the meeting was informed that physical surveys would be completed within a maximum of 15 days. A total of 1,415 applications had been received in Rawalpindi Division, of which 991 physical surveys had been completed and 516 Green Property Certificates issued.
Ghani directed that scrutiny of applications and physical surveys should not be unnecessarily delayed. He also ordered special assistance for overseas Pakistanis in property-related matters and obtaining Green Property Certificates.
Additional Commissioner Coordination Zeinia Humayun, Additional Commissioner Consolidation Mansoor Ahmed, revenue officers and heads of other departments attended the meeting, while Deputy Commissioners of Jhelum, Murree, Attock and Chakwal participated through video link along with their respective teams.
