KOHAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Aug, 2026) Police arrested five suspects and recovered a cache of illegal arms and ammunition during targeted search operations in various areas of Kohat district on Sunday, police sources said.
The operation was conducted as part of an ongoing crackdown against criminal elements and illegal weapons possessors on the special directives of District Police Officer Kohat, SSP Rai Mazhar Iqbal.
Acting on the directives, a police team led by Station House Officer Jarma Police Station Sohail Khan conducted searches in different localities within the station’s jurisdiction and apprehended five suspects.
During the operation, police recovered three rifles, three pistols, a shotgun and dozens of live rounds of various calibres from their possession.
The arrested suspects were shifted to Jarma Police Station for further interrogation, while police initiated legal proceedings against them under relevant laws. Further investigation into the cases is underway.
