PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th Aug, 2026) Commissioner Bannu Division and Chairman of the board of Intermediate and Secondary education (BISE) Bannu, Khalid Mehmood, on Friday distributed cash prizes and shields among the top position holders of the 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examinations and appreciated the efforts of their teachers.
Addressing the prize distribution ceremony held at the BISE Bannu auditorium, the commissioner congratulated the outstanding students, saying their achievements reflected sustained hard work, determination and academic excellence.
He also acknowledged the contribution of headmasters and headmistresses in nurturing talented students.
He announced cash awards of Rs50,000 for the first position, Rs45,000 for the second and Rs40,000 for the third position holder.
In addition, the heads of the schools producing the position holders were awarded Rs33,000 each in recognition of their services.
Controller of Examinations Farooq Khan announced the results, stating that Fawad Ahmad secured first position with 1,159 marks, Ahmad Khan stood second with 1,157 marks, while Muhammad Abdullah Yousaf obtained third position with 1,154 marks.
Secretary BISE Bannu Noor Alam Wazir, Controller Farooq Khan, school heads, teachers, parents of the position holders and media representatives attended the ceremony.
The event concluded with the distribution of shields and cash prizes, while the commissioner felicitated the students and wished them continued success in their future academic pursuits.
