RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6th Aug, 2026) Rescue 1122 continued its search and rescue operation on Thursday to trace a six-year-old girl who went missing near Landa Bazaar, but no clue to her whereabouts was found despite extensive efforts on the first day.
According to Rescue 1122, water rescue teams conducted a thorough search of approximately four kilometres of the Lai Drain, covering the stretch from Sangam to Moti Mahal Bridge. The teams carried out a line search and extensively searched both the drain and its banks.
The spokesperson said the operation was temporarily suspended at sunset due to fading light. Rescue 1122 water rescue teams will resume the search operation early Friday morning with all available resources.
