
Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has transferred Rs 20 million in advance foreign daily allowance (DA) to the bank accounts of the national hockey team’s players and coaching staff ahead of their departure for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026, to be held in Belgium and the Netherlands
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6th Aug, 2026) Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has transferred Rs 20 million in advance foreign daily allowance (DA) to the bank accounts of the national hockey team’s players and coaching staff ahead of their departure for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026, to be held in Belgium and the Netherlands.
The federation said on Thursday that the advance payment was intended to ensure that the players and officials remained financially secure throughout the tour, enabling them to devote their full attention to preparations and performances at hockey’s premier global event.
Besides the advance DA, the PHF has completed all logistical arrangements for the team’s World Cup campaign, including international air travel, accommodation, meals, local transportation, training facilities, logistics and the shipment of playing equipment.
PHF President Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani said the welfare of the national team remained the federation’s foremost priority.
“Our players and coaches should focus solely on their performance on the field. The federation has completed all financial and logistical arrangements before the team’s departure. The advance payment of PKR 20 million reflects our unwavering commitment to provide the best possible support to the team representing Pakistan on the world’s biggest hockey stage,” Wani said.
He expressed confidence that the timely financial and operational support would boost the team’s morale and help the players perform to their full potential during the tournament.
The PHF also acknowledged the continued support of its sponsors, partners and the Government of Pakistan for strengthening the national team’s preparations for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026.
