ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 5th Aug, 2026) Gold prices witnessed a sharp increase in the local market on Wednesday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola rising by Rs10,000 to settle at Rs437,936, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs8,573 to Rs375,459, while the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold climbed by Rs7,859 to Rs344,183.
In the international market, the price of gold increased by US$100 to US$4,155 per ounce, the association reported.
Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded a significant upward trend in the local market. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs273 to Rs6,624, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs235 to Rs5,679.
The price of silver in the international market also increased by US$2.73 to US$61.45 per ounce, the association added.
