KARACHI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 2nd Aug, 2026) The Pakistan Influencer Awards, a new industry-backed platform aimed at recognising digital creators on the basis of impact, authenticity and credibility, has been launched in Karachi with the objective of setting new benchmarks for Pakistan’s rapidly growing creator economy.
Organisers said the initiative seeks to move beyond conventional popularity metrics by introducing a transparent, data-driven evaluation framework that rewards creators for meaningful engagement, consistency, educational value, community influence and their ability to shape digital culture.
The organisers said the awards are supported by an independent advisory board comprising leading professionals from the media, communications and research sectors to ensure a credible and transparent selection process.
The initiative is also backed by industry partners, research experts and other stakeholders to strengthen trust and accountability within Pakistan’s creator ecosystem.
The launch ceremony featured keynote addresses, panel discussions and creator-led conversations. Talha Aslam, Chief Curator of the Pakistan Influencer Awards, outlined the vision behind the initiative, while advisory board members including Fouad Husain, Chief Executive Officer of Starcrest Communications (Pvt.
) Ltd., Hasan Rizvi, Chief Executive Officer of BBPR Pakistan, and Jerjees Seja, Chief Executive Officer of ARY Digital Network, discussed the future of Pakistan’s digital content industry.
Faraz Bashir, Director Data, Insights and Evaluation, and Hassaan Azhar, Director Partnerships and Growth, highlighted the awards’ evaluation methodology, partnership strategy and commercial framework. Abdul Sattar Babar, Chief Executive Officer of Ipsos Pakistan, explained the research, audit and transparency mechanisms developed for the awards.
Speaking on the occasion, Talha Aslam said the Pakistan Influencer Awards had been established to celebrate meaningful influence and create new standards for the country’s evolving creator economy.
The event also featured the unveiling of the Pakistan Influencer Awards’ brand identity and trophy, followed by an interactive session with prominent digital creators Asad Memon, Bilal Munir, Junaid Akram and Natasha Lakhani, moderated by Dino Ali.
The organisers said the platform aims to become more than a conventional awards programme by recognising creators who drive public discourse, educate audiences, build communities and contribute to the growth of Pakistan’s digital ecosystem.
