Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Tuesday held separate meetings with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Kistafin and the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Khazar Farhadov, at Parliament House, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening its bilateral relations with both friendly countries
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th Jul, 2026) Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Tuesday held separate meetings with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Kistafin and the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Khazar Farhadov, at Parliament House, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening its bilateral relations with both friendly countries.
During his meeting with Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin, the Speaker lauded the envoy’s valuable contribution to deepening Pakistan–Kazakhstan relations and acknowledged his efforts in promoting bilateral cooperation.
He said the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Kazakhstan are rooted in mutual trust, respect and shared interests, and underscored the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in enhancing bilateral relations and expanding people-to-people contacts.
Referring to the recent visit of Kazakhstan’s President, , to Pakistan, Ayaz Sadiq said the visit had opened new avenues for cooperation in diverse sectors and provided fresh momentum to the bilateral partnership.
Ambassador Kistafin thanked the Speaker for his gracious remarks, appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for the peaceful resolution of international disputes, and said the respect, warmth and cooperation he received during his tenure in Pakistan would remain among his most cherished memories.
In a separate meeting, the Speaker congratulated Ambassador Khazar Farhadov on the successful completion of his diplomatic tenure and commended his role in further strengthening Pakistan–Azerbaijan relations.
The two sides discussed fraternal ties, bilateral cooperation and matters of mutual interest.
Ayaz Sadiq expressed satisfaction over the steady growth of relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, describing them as brotherly nations bound by mutual respect and shared values.
He emphasised the need to further expand parliamentary cooperation and strengthen people-to-people exchanges, noting that both countries have consistently supported each other’s positions at regional and international parliamentary forums.
The Speaker also observed that the growing number of Pakistani students pursuing higher education in Azerbaijan reflects the expanding public-level engagement between the two countries.
Ambassador Khazar Farhadov thanked the Speaker for his appreciation and expressed gratitude to the Government and people of Pakistan for the warmth and hospitality extended to him throughout his diplomatic assignment.
He also acknowledged the Speaker’s efforts in promoting parliamentary cooperation and expressed confidence that Pakistan–Azerbaijan relations would continue to flourish in the years ahead.
