LARKANA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner of Qambar-Shahdadkot, Kamran Hussain Mushtaq, conducted a detailed inspection of the Flood Protection (FP) works from Kachi Pul to Ghaibi Dero on Tuesday to review the current status of protective measures in view of the rainy season and to assess the preparedness of the Irrigation Department.
During the inspection, Executive Engineer (XEN) Irrigation Gaj Division and other relevant officials were present.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress and quality of the flood protection works and received a detailed briefing on the steps taken to strengthen sensitive locations.
Deputy Commissioner directed the Irrigation Department and all relevant officials to remain constantly vigilant, ensure the timely completion of all flood protection works, and keep all necessary machinery, equipment, and staff fully prepared to deal with any emergency situation.
He further said that no negligence would be tolerated in the protection of public lives, property, and important infrastructure.
He directed the relevant departments to maintain regular monitoring and mutual coordination throughout the entire monsoon season.
The district administration of Qambar-Shahdadkot is fully committed to ensuring advance preparedness and safeguarding citizens from potential flood risks.
