MANILA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM – 14th Jun, 2026) The death toll from the powerful earthquake that struck the southern Philippines on 8th June has risen to 61.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported that 1,403 people were injured in the quake, while 40 others remain missing.
Search, rescue and retrieval operations are continuing in the affected areas as emergency teams work to locate survivors and recover victims trapped by landslides and collapsed structures.
